What is eMarketing / Digital Marketing?
eMarketing – also known as Digital Marketing – is essentially ensuring users can find your website – a critical internet service and one that gains more and more relevance in an increasingly competitive market place… without visitors there really isn’t much point in having a website.
eMarketing encompasses a plethora of services including optimising your website for search engines, hooking you up with the most appropriate social media, graphical email campaigns, pay-per-click and other paid-for services amongst many other possibilities.
How can we help your website get seen?
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
If we are designing a website for you from ‘scratch’ then we will ensure that your website is using up-to-date online marketing technologies, developed using search engine friendly code, and that relevant key phrases are placed strategically. These procedures optimise your web pages to be found and ranked by search engines – otherwise known as Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC)
The faster track to getting your site seen is to pay for advertising on Search Engines. This is known as Pay Per Click Advertising.
Graphical Email Campaigns
Sending well presented graphically branded emails out to contacts that know you and are willing to accept emails from you can really pay dividends. We can create branded email templates for you, ready to use on a number of excellent services such as Mail Chimp. All you need is the ideas, the content and the ability to puch a few buttons to get started!
Social Media, Blogging, Video, Directories and more
Other well used forms of digital marketing include working with the many different types of Social Media – the most popular being being Facebook and Twitter, Blogging (your own blog as well as contributing to others), Directory Submissions, Video Blogging, Article writing, and others.
These tools, used in the right place and at the right time, presented to the right people can prove to be very effective and powerful digital marketing tools.
What can you do to get your website seen?
Know your customers
First and foremost you need to know your customers. If you will be relying on search engines to send customers to you then you will need to know, or at least accurately predict, what your customers will be typing into the search engine to find your product or service – known as ‘keywords’ or ‘keyphrases’.
Write relevant, interesting & engaging copy
Once you have this information it is imperative to write relevant webpage copy in line with the ‘keyphrases’ that users will type into the search engines. This will confirm to those users finding your site that they’re on the right page and to the search engines that your page is relevant to the search criteria.
Keep everything up-to-date
It is really important too to keep in mind that an updated website, an updated blog, a well maintained Facebook page and Twitter account (as well as anything else that you choose to do) will all attract more and more viewers – that will end up on your website.
In order for this to work though you, the vendor, need to be putting in the time and energy to keeping your overall ‘web presence’ up-to-date.
Don’t forget to engage with your audience
It’s all well and good having all the different types of websites, blogs, Facebook pages and so on – but please remember this will only really work if you are engaging with your audience, sparking up discussion, being helpful and letting people know – when it is appropriate – what you do, what you sell, and how good you are at it.
If you only ‘broadcast’ to people about what you do and how good you are then it is very likely that you will generate no real interest.
